FAQs

What can I expect from your workout?

Expect a combination of strength exercises and cardio movements broken down into intervals.  Our approach to strength and conditioning is unique - you will never step onto a treadmill or spin bike.  Instead, we use sleds, battleropes, medicine balls, dumbbells and other equipment to increase strength and fire up your heart rate.  We always start with a dynamic warm-up and end our workouts with a cooldown that focuses on mobility and recovery.  While we do push you past the comfort zone sometimes, we always offer modifications for all exercises.

Do you have beginner classes?

We do not have specific classes for beginners but we offer modifications to all our exercises.  Our workouts are meant for EVERYONE.  We are all athletes at Proving Ground.

Do you offer water at the Studio?

We have a water fountain for your use and we sell water for $2 if you forget your own water bottle.  We encourage everyone to bring their own water bottles.

Do you offer free classes for First-Timers?

We offer a discounted package for our first-timers to the Studio.  2 classes for $20 (50% off).  Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook, and sign up for our email list for updates on promotions and special events.

Do I need to sign up for a class in advance?

While we do allow walk-ins, we recommend that you reserve your spot in class through our website or on our App for Iphone users.  With walk-ins, your spot in class is not guaranteed.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel 4 hours or more before the start of class, there is no penalty and the class credit will be added back into your account for use at a later date.  If you cancel less than 4 hours before the start of class,  you will lose your class credit.  If you do not cancel and do not let us know that you won’t be able to make class, you will lose your class credit and will be charged a $10 No Show Fee.  For monthly memberships, a late cancel or no show will be charged $10.

What is a waitlist?

If you book a class that is full (at capacity), you can choose to be added to the waitlist.  If a spot opens up, you are in!  You will receive an automated email message notifying you that you have been added to the class.  Please make sure to check email regularly up until 45 minutes before class.

Do you have parking?

We have parking spots in the front, side of Proving Ground and back parking lot of the building.  We encourage our Hull residents to park across the street next to the playground in Resident-only parking.  During the summer months (beach season), we offer special non-resident parking passes for the spots across the street during class times.
